7-year-old fundraising superstar took part in our Moonlight Walk and raised an amazing £520!

Immy, a member of Beavers, needed to complete two challenges to earn her Chief Scout’s Bronze Award. For her first challenge, she attended her first Beavers Camp. For her second, she chose to take part in our 10km Moonlight Walk. Immy said:

My Nanny was cared for by Myton at Home, so I wanted my second challenge to help me get my Bronze Award, but also help the community.

Immy’s Nanny, Sue, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in late 2024 and quickly began to deteriorate. Myton at Home visited her three times a day. Immy added:

The nurses helped her move, wash, dress, and take her medication to keep her comfortable. They made us all feel better.

Immy’s mum, Louise, shared:

The help from Myton at Home meant a lot to our whole family. Sadly, Nanny passed away on December 19th, just nine days after her diagnosis. It was a sudden and tough time, but Myton’s support helped us all cope and understand things just that little bit better.

Immy continued:

My uncle suggested Myton’s Moonlight Walk for my challenge, and he loved the idea, so the whole family joined in! It was such a fun night, and we all enjoyed it!

Immy and her family raised an amazing £520! Louise said:

We are overwhelmed by the support for Immy’s fundraising. Our community has come together in such a touching way – even Immy’s Beaver friends sponsored her! It’s amazing how many people have a connection to Myton when you talk about it. It’s great to know we’re helping other families experience the support we were so lucky to have.

Natalie Walker, Events and Campaigns Manager, said:

Immy is a little superstar! She and her family should be so proud of the fantastic amount they raised. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who took part in this year’s Moonlight Walk, raising a staggering £231,087.23! We’re so thankful for Immy, her family, and everyone who took part for their incredible support.

Have been inspired my Immy’s fundraising and would like to take part in any of our events?
